03 / NETWORK DETAILS
Get to know the network.
Select an access point to inspect its channel, security, signal, and noise readings. See the radio details and channel distribution together in one panel.
macOS may require Location permission before it reveals Wi-Fi network names and hardware addresses. Wi-Fi Buddy shows the information made available by macOS and your wireless hardware.
Will I see every band and access point?
The results depend on what your Mac’s hardware can observe and what macOS returns during a scan. A 6 GHz view can show access points only when they are detected by supported hardware.
Can I compare Wi-Fi before and after a change?
Yes. Save an environment snapshot and compare it with another snapshot or the live environment. The comparison highlights changes in access points and diagnostic assessments.
